Hundreds of people have shared their medical device stories with us since the start of our medical device campaign, and we were alarmed to learn about real hardships people are facing from having faulty devices. Too many of them needed to undergo painful revision surgeries, suffered permanent injury or live in constant pain.

As Congress is on its last stretch to send final legislation that oversees medical device safety to the President, we sent congressional staffers a person’s story each morning this week asking them to keep real people in mind as they reconcile the differences between the House and Senate versions of the bill. Real lives are at stake, real people are involved in their decisions.
