Why Not The Best? Comparative Reports on Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infections
Users of WhyNotTheBest.org can now search for and compare data for nearly 1,000 hospitals on the incidence of central line–associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs)—one of the most lethal hospital-acquired complications. The data show wide variation in CLABSI incidence, in spite of strong evidence on how to prevent them. The updated data is made possible through a partnership among The Commonwealth Fund, The Leapfrog Group, and Consumers Union.

22 Years ago, I gave birth to my child a month early. the Dr.’s and Mid-wives were great.. But I left the hospital w/something else the 2 of us “celebrate every year.. HEPATITIS C.after 18 pints of blood, my uterus, etc..I now have directly from the Hep. Lupus, Rheumatoid arthritis,Raynaulds, Fibro.,sjorgens,C.O.P.D. due to a lung collapsing during the surgery, which was performed in the actual labor room. I love those that saved me, I raised wonderful daughter, college deans list 4 (all) years, Cum Laude,3.8., and now she sees the world through her job in a great company advertising, everything I could pray for and even more, her fiance is N.Y.P.D., she has her goals set and does them “all” and yet I cry knowing I may not get to see nor hold my dear grandchildren someday… but Dr. Leroy, Thank you,and every single midwife staff nurse everything I thank you for the time I do have w/ her, though I am in Fl. and she in NY..So sometimes lemons do become lemonade!!!!
