  • Why Not The Best? Comparative Reports on Central Line-Associated Bloodstream Infections

Users of WhyNotTheBest.org can now search for and compare data for nearly 1,000 hospitals on the incidence of central line–associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs)—one of the most lethal hospital-acquired complications. U od M hospital varies greatly by department. i was treated horribly in general surgery by a horrible doc and nursing staff that seemed to not have a clue. I was told I would stay 6 days and to plan for it. After a 6 inc slice in my belly I was kicked out w/o a ride home and had to wait in lobby for hours with a fever, a weeping surgical wound, swollen belly and much pain. Seems my 6 day plan was changed when the read I had Medicare! Be careful that hospital can be very dangerous. Not exactly upholds the reputation people assume it has. Many jerks!
